  • Bob Alberts - I never had the pleasure of meeting Ione, but I’ve heard her name a hundred times over the years, and have seen it in the PPN ByLaws many, many times.

    Ione was one of the founders of the PPN, and served on the first PPN Board of Directors. (PPN Royalty, right?)

    I knew that she & her husband were well respected members of the PPN, but had never heard about her conservation work. The attached article is a very interesting read. If you haven’t yet, I’d encourage you all to read it! It sounds like she was a very strong and accomplished woman.ReplyCancel
